The music that comes forth from within me is inspired by grace and love. I want to see the grace and love of this music intertwining with the hearts of all beings who are sharing in the listening experience. This is how music evolves for me. It experiences the listener as the listener receives it and allows it to expand into an ocean of symphonic grace. It evolves within the deep harmonic exchange. I want to share this experience. That is what this process of musical expression is for me. It is opening to a shared space.

When I listen with my whole being to the music that is being played through me and I allow for that music to be felt by the flow of divinity, it embraces me like a lover’s breathing. It caresses me with the sweet sounds of calling to the beloved. Love is a prominent theme in my music because it calls out to the beloved in all beings. It allows for the consciousness of awakening within the dream. This is how I experience the expansion of creating within the collective consciousness of humanity. Whether playing with other musicians or for an audience, I feel it as a co-creative experience that allows for life to evolve more deeply into one moment of love.  

My music wants to be shared with those who can participate in this energetic exchange. This is what happened when my band Infinite Bliss was created and we recorded songs I had been writing for the previous decade on the album Strange Afternoon. Many years have passed since we recorded that project and the members have dispersed into their own beautiful experiences. I am currently studying jazz and other styles of piano. Because I was trained classically as a child, this has been quite challenging for me. I was not taught theory, improvisation or how to just play from my heart. I still want to find a piece of sheet music for everything I learn and even when writing my own songs, I rely on music notation. This being said, I am writing a lot of new music and am also pulling in some of my favorite standards and covers. I mostly listen from my heart now when writing a new song and am enjoying borrowing elements from these new to me styles that I am exploring.

I invite you to flow into this world of music elevation with me whether as an active listener, a contemplative sentient, or an artist who wants to share in this process of creation with me. I draw you into my heart space and ask you to experience this life with me. Let’s fall all the way into the divine’s light and explore the depths of the music’s soul, for it is only from this space that the music will fully embrace our lives. I created an electronic project with my son, Tixo. He has been in the world of synths and electronica since he was about thirteen. When we create together, he performs from his space of passion for drum ‘n bass. I create lyrics and melodies and hand them over to him to see where he wants to take it.
